-12 Google I/O 2016: Return to Mountain View, May 10-12

This year’s event will focus on creating better software experiences, including updates to Android and Google Maps. The Mountain View Amphitheater was the perfect choice for this year’s conference as it gives attendees a close-up view of the keynote speakers while still being able to roam around and attend other workshops and sessions.

This year’s Google I/O event is rumored to be focused on public-facing talks, updates for Android and Wear OS, and AI. Given the hype around ChatGPT and its own bard, it’s safe to say that the company is leaning even more strongly on the category this year.

It as still too early to tell what kind of hardware we’ll see in the Google Pixel 7a, but anything could happen. With so many Android phone makers releasing devices every month, it’s hard to know which will be the best choice for most people. At this point, it would make sense for Google to stick with what they know – a great camera and all-around performer.

Although details of the company’s plans are still being finalized, it is expected that they will include live broadcasts of talks given by prominent scientists and experts, on-demand access to those talks after the fact, and other events designed to give listeners a deeper understanding of scientific topics.
