Take Off in India: Amazon Launches Air Freight Service

The launch of Amazon Air in India is an indication of the e-commerce giant’s determination to ensure that its logistics infrastructure is as strong as possible in the overseas market. Amazon Air will allow it to further reduce the cost of shipping goods internationally, making it a dominant player in this sector.

In an effort to speed up its delivery process, Amazon has partnered with the Bengaluru-based cargo airline Quikjet to launch its maiden air freight service in India. The e-commerce giant is utilizing the Boeing 737-800 for the service, which it claims will help reduce delivery times by up to 50%.

The Amazon Air freight service is expanding to India, the third market where it has been launched. The service uses 30 Boeing freighter aircrafts to transport goods between cities in the U.S., the U.K., and India.

This move by Amazon creates an opportunity for other businesses to get access to the company’s transportation and logistics network, which could help them reach new customers easily. Amazon has proved itself as a powerful provider of logistical services, so businesses that want to take advantage of this service should consider joining the company’s platform.

Apart from Amazon, there are other companies that are also looking to foray into the e-commerce market in India. However, Amazon’s delivery service is seen as a strategic business for them to enter into as it has the potential to achieve massive scale in the country.

It seems that Amazon is having problems competing with Flipkart in the Indian market. Their strategies for success seem to differ, but it remains to be seen which will win out. Additionally, being one of the main overseas markets for Amazon might not be as beneficial as it once was.

It can be inferred from this information that Amazon is feeling thecompetitive pressure in India. They have been closing down business units and shutting down their facilities there. This can be seen as a way to keep their costs down and stay competitive against their rivals.
