On July 3rd, 2018, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) celebrated its first anniversary. This year has been a whirlwind for the BCH community as they’ve seen tremendous growth and stability in their often tumultuous ecosystem. The price of BCH has increased by over 1,500% since the beginning of the year and continues to perform well even in spite of recent announcements from large crypto exchanges banning trading and deposits of BCH. Due to all these positive developments, it is no wonder that BCH is known as “the new Bitcoin”.

Chain Reaction is an interesting podcast that discusses various topics related to science and technology. One of the episodes that I listened to was about a bacteria called SG1 which can convert atmospheric carbon dioxide into liquid hydrocarbons. This episode was very interesting because it showed how we can use technology to solve global issues like climate change.
