eBay’s newest AI feature allows sellers to replace image backgrounds with AI-generated backdrops.
eBay’s background enhancement tool could benefit sellers who lack the equipment or skills to take professional-looking or high-quality photos.
It may also improve on eBay’s previous offering, which used computer vision technology to give listing photos a simple, white background.
The new AI feature is powered by the open-source model Stable Diffusion.
The latest announcement comes a year after eBay introduced an AI feature that generates titles and descriptions for a product listing.
Since 2022, Youverify has expanded its real-time business verification coverage to 145 jurisdictions across 48 countries.
Across these countries, Youverify processes 4 million monthly applications for over 3,500 businesses with 800 active clients.
Additionally, the platform’s capacity to verify IDs has expanded from 400 million to 5 billion people — as well as 600 million businesses across various industries such as gaming, travel, healthcare, and telecommunications.
“Individuals and businesses can verify their identity, registration status and ownership using their government data through Youverify.
In addition, we launched our anti-money laundering and risk classification product to address some of these industries,” the CEO noted.
Employee-focused mental health company Journey is acquiring Felt, a startup formerly known as Mine’d that specializes in matching individuals with therapists using artificial intelligence.
Journey, which offers a mental health employee assistance program used by companies like Walgreens and Universal Music Group, says the acquisition aligns with its mission to revolutionize employee well-being and mental health support while leveraging the power of AI.
While Felt’s technology was initially designed for a consumer-facing app, it will be integrated into Journey’s backend product.
Journey CEO and founder Stephen Sokoler told TechCrunch that Felt’s technology will be integrated into the company’s Proactive EAP platform.
The company plans to pair Felt’s AI-based technology with its existing human-enabled therapist pairings in order to better match employees with therapists.
“India is a massive, massive country with so many diverse needs,” said Miriam Karthika, VP for Google Maps Experience, at the event.
This India-first capability, introduced for developers on Google Maps Platform earlier this year, will be available across over 75 Indian cities.
Apart from launching the global features in India, Google partnered with India’s Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) and mobility app Namma Yatri to provide metro schedules and bookings to users directly through Google Maps.
In July last year, Google introduced Street View in India six years after the feature was banned in the country over security concerns.
Today, over 50 million users are viewing Street View in the country, Google said.
