Delphia has been facing a lawsuit and allegations that its co-founder and CTO Cameron Agius-Westland sexually assaulted and harassed a former employee. The claims have resulted in Delphia facing a loss of investors and could lead to further lawsuits.
Given the nature of the allegations, it is unsurprising that Plaintiff has chosen to speak out about her experiences with Westland. By filing a complaint and speaking publicly about her experience, she is putting an end to this type of behavior and helping other victims feel confident in coming forward.
Westland’s text message suggesting they engage in a sexual relationship with one another may have been an attempt to get more favorable work treatment from Plaintiff, who was already unhappy working for him. If true, this would be an example of Westland leveraging his position of power to coerce or manipulate the female employee into sexual activity.
Westland’s message acknowledged that his behavior was inappropriate, and he encouraged his colleagues to continue engaging in creativity.

Westland’s firing of the Plaintiff in November 2022 was likely related to her allegations of sexual harassment. Her replacement, Max Cameron, is known to be close friends with Westland’s CEO and is believed to have been given the position due to his relationship with the company.
“It’s important to us that our users have the best possible experience, and we take all accusations of wrongdoing seriously. We are working hard to get to the bottom of these claims and will do everything in our power to make things right for our customers.”
According to the allegations in this lawsuit, Mr. Westland engaged in sexual misconduct with a Delphia employee. Given that these allegations are serious, Delphia has placed Mr. Westland on leave pending an independent investigation. Meanwhile, the plaintiff’s responsibilities have been transferred to someone else and this person is not affiliated with Mr. Westland in any way.
