Meta and NBA Create 52 Virtual Reality Games for Fans to Enjoy

VR gaming is quickly growing in popularity and the NBA and WNBA have teamed up with Meta Quest to bring a variety of games to the virtual reality platform. The games, which can be played on Meta Quest, will provide fans with an immersive experience that they’ll never forget.

In addition to being able to watch live games in VR, fans can also explore the game with 360-degree highlights, recaps and archival content. This is a great opportunity for fans of all levels of basketball to become immersed in the sport.

Meta’s NBA Arena is a dedicated app that allows users to watch NBA content with friends. In the future, fans will be able to watch even more content in the app with an NBA League Pass subscription.

Meta announced that it’s partnering with the NBA to launch NBA-licensed apparel in Meta’s Avatar Store in the coming weeks. This will allow users to purchase their favorite team apparel for their avatar and showcase it across social media platforms, including on Meta Quest.

In January, fans of the Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons can catch a matchup in VR while Denver Nuggets and New Orleans Pelicans face off on another date. Other matchups include the Cleveland Cavaliers taking on Oklahoma City Thunder on January 27, followed by Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat playing on January 29.
