Google has just announced a wave of exciting updates for its popular Pixel devices, including phones, tablets, and watches. These new features are designed to elevate the user experience and provide even more convenience for Pixel owners.
Pixel Phone Updates
One of the most noteworthy updates is the ability for Pixel users to capture and share 10-bit HDR videos on Instagram. This cutting-edge feature is now available for the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel Fold models.
But that’s not all—Google has also added support for sharing Ultra HDR images on Instagram, further expanding the possibilities for creative expression on social media.
In addition, Google has rolled out its “Circle to search” feature, which allows users to circle an item on their screen to initiate a search. This feature was initially launched alongside Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series, and is now available for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. And for those with the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, this exciting update will be available soon.
Google has also made improvements to its call screening feature, adding a new “Hello” chip for conversation mode. With this update, the Google Assistant will now prompt the caller to speak and ask them to wait if you are unable to screen the call at that moment.
Pixel Watch Updates
The original Pixel Watch is also receiving some exciting updates to improve workouts and overall performance. The new Pace training mode uses GPS and motion sensors to notify users if they fall outside of their pre-set pace range during a workout. Similarly, the Heart Zone training mode monitors heart rate ranges for optimal training.
Additionally, the first-gen Pixel Watch now has automatic workout start and stop detection, making it easier to keep track of your fitness goals. And to help with mindfulness and relaxation, Google is also releasing the Fitbit Relax app for guided breathing exercises.
Portfolio Updates
In addition to updates for the Pixel phones and watches, Google is also rolling out new features for its portfolio of devices. Soon, all devices including the Pixel 5a and newer, Pixel Tablets, and Pixel Fold will have the ability to share a specific app’s screen during a video call, making remote collaboration even easier.
And for those who frequently switch devices, Google is adding support for quickly pairing any previously used FastPair-compatible Bluetooth accessory to a new device. This will save time and hassle for users who frequently switch between devices.
Lastly, the Pixel Tablet is getting some exciting updates, including the ability to annotate documents with a stylus or finger and a feature that automatically shrinks the keyboard when using voice input.
“With these updates, we are constantly striving to improve the user experience and provide convenience and functionality to our loyal Pixel owners,” said a Google spokesperson.
From advanced video and photo capabilities to improved fitness tracking and more, Google’s latest updates are sure to please Pixel users everywhere. Keep an eye out for these updates on your Pixel device and experience the future of technology firsthand.
