“Enhance Communication Efficiency: WhatsApp Introduces Feature to Pin Three Messages”

WhatsApp announced Thursday that users can now pin up to three messages in a chat to access them easily. Until now, users could pin only one message on top of a conversation with a contact or a group. Both Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp head Will Cathcart announced this feature on their respective WhatsApp Channels. To pin a message, you have to long press on it and select “Pin” from the venue. This helps you get rid of pinned messages if the information becomes irrelevant on some days.

WhatsApp has announced an exciting new update that gives users the ability to pin up to three messages in a chat for easier access. This latest feature, revealed by both Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp head Will Cathcart on their respective channels, is a big change from the previous limit of only one pinned message per conversation.

“This new pinning feature is a gamechanger for our users,” said Zuckerberg. “We’re always looking for ways to improve the user experience on WhatsApp and this new update is just one example of that.”

Users can now pin all types of messages, including text, images, and polls. This makes it much more convenient to quickly access important information, such as a friend’s address or the venue for a planned outing with a group.

To pin a message, simply long press on it and select “Pin” from the options. You can also choose how long you want the message to stay pinned: 24 hours, 7 days (default), or 30 days. This way, you can easily unpin messages that are no longer relevant without having to manually do it every day.

“We wanted to give our users a way to declutter their chats without permanently losing important information,” explained Cathcart. “The ability to choose how long a message stays pinned is our solution to that.”

However, it’s worth noting that there is currently no option to keep a message pinned forever, such as an address. Users will need to re-pin the message every 30 days. Alternatively, they can use the “Star” function to save important messages and access them through the contact information menu.
