But Moghadam also began attracting attention to the annotation company for belligerent behavior, both public and private.
Indeed, in 2014, after posting tasteless comments as annotations after a mass murderer’s manifesto was posted to Genius’s platform, Moghadam resigned at the urging of Lehman, who was the company’s CEO.
Looking back, Moghadam expressed dismay that Genius contributors weren’t paid for helping to build out the platform.
Slamming the new owners of Genius, Moghadam had added that at “at least the [original] CEO [Lehman] straight up built Genius with his own two hands.
So they launched Metaview, an AI-powered note-taking app for recruiters and hiring managers that records, analyzes and summarizes job interviews.
“Metaview is an AI note-taker built specifically for the hiring process,” Magos said.
“It helps recruiters and hiring managers focus more on getting to know candidates and less on extracting data from the conversations.
“Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet all have transcription built in, which is a possible alternative to Metaview,” Magos said.
I’m skeptical and a bit wary, too, of Metaview’s approach to how it handles speech data.
Don Lemon announced on Wednesday that X owner Elon Musk has canceled the deal for his upcoming talkshow on the platform.
Lemon, a former CNN anchor, says Musk terminated the partnership hours after he interviewed the multibillionaire for the first episode of the show.
“Elon Musk has canceled the partnership I had with X, which they announced as part of their public commitment to amplifying more diverse voices on their platform,” Lemon wrote in a statement.
“He informed me of his decision hours after an interview I conducted with him on Friday.”Despite the canceled deal with X, The Don Lemon Show will live on.
The interview with Musk will remain the premiere episode of the show and is scheduled to air on March 18 on YouTube, podcast channels and X.
Interview Kickstart, a profitable startup helping tech professionals acquire career-advancing skills, has raised $10 million in its maiden funding from Blume Ventures, the companies said on Monday.
The startup avoided raising venture money in the past because Valles said Interview Kickstart has always been profitable and focused on sustainable unit-economics.
Interview Kickstart is finally raising external capital because it plans to focus on two to three new areas aggressively.
For Blume Ventures, the investment in Interview Kickstart is its largest opening check in its decade-old history.
