When Slack CEO Denise Dresser was handed the reins last November, she faced the challenge of becoming the third chief executive in less than a year at the enterprise communications company. This kind of upheaval presents its own set of difficulties. Dresser will be joining us for a fireside chat to discuss her transition and more at the SaaS Stage of TechCrunch Disrupt, taking place on Oct 28-30 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

After Lidiane Jones left her position as CEO to become chief executive at Bumble, unable to resist the allure of running a public company, Dresser took over the role. She herself had previously taken on the challenge of CEO after company co-founder and CEO Stewart Butterfield left two years following Salesforce’s acquisition of the company for $28 billion.

With over a decade of experience at Salesforce in various executive roles, Dresser brings a wealth of enterprise expertise to the table. Before joining Salesforce, she worked at Arthur Andersen and later at Oracle.

In an interview with TechCrunch in March, Dresser shared her leadership approach:

I ask a lot of questions, and I am definitely an accountant at heart. So, I like to be organized and I will continue that on, but it’s not like it’s a big pull. I think the foundation is already there, and it’s an incredibly well-run organization.

At the SaaS Stage, we will showcase some of today’s best Software-as-a-Service tools and thought leaders to reveal insights, boost productivity, and cultivate creativity and efficiency within your organization.
