This feature is available to users on the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel Fold.
Later in the month, the company made the feature available to Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro users.
Google today said the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro users will be able to use this feature soon.
Pixel Watch updatesGoogle is rolling out two updates to the original Pixel Watch to help users train better, namely Pace training and Heart Zone training.
Instagram announced today that it’s rolling out the ability for users to edit their direct messages for up to 15 minutes after sending them.
The ability to edit your DMs lets you fix a typo or change things around if your message doesn’t quite sound right.
To edit a message, you need to press and hold it, and then then choose “edit” from the dropdown menu.
The feature works similar to Apple’s edit feature for iMessage, which launched nearly two years ago.
Instagram also recently started allowing all users to turn read receipts off, for all of their chats or specific ones.
Swayy is an iPhone app startup that allows you to share not your current location, but your next intended location.
I also liked the way the Swayy app allows me to create custom groups.
As Westropp pointed out, as a female founder, she’s acutely aware that being able to control precisely who can see her future location is something she hard-wired into the app.
Of course, Swayy is likely to struggle against the tech giants already toying with location as feature.
It will also be an opportunity for Instagram to appeal to people who were fans of Zenly, a social map app that Snap acquired and then shut down in 2022.
You may not have a Copilot key on your PC’s keyboard yet, but if you’re a Windows 11 user, you’ll soon be able to use Copilot for a lot more everyday tasks on your desktop.
Starting today, Microsoft is adding skills that will allow the Copilot to change more Windows 11 settings for you and plugins for services like OpenTable, Shopify and Kayak.
Restaurant reservations through OpenTable, travel reservations through Kayak and a Shopify integration are surely only the start here, too.
At the same time, Microsoft is now also integrating more AI features into its existing Windows apps.
The second is a feature that automatically removes silence from videos in the Clipchamps video editor.
Substack is introducing direct messaging, allowing users to have private one-on-one conversations, the company announced today.
DMs can be accessed in the Chat tab on the Substack app and website.
After launching an X (formerly Twitter) clone last year called Notes, Substack is now copying yet another feature from the social network.
Substack says DMs was a highly requested feature among users, and many users have shared their excitement on the announcement post.
The launch of DMs comes a few days after Substack updated its peer-to-peer recommendation system, allowing writers to curate and share a list of publications for their readers to subscribe to.
SeatGeek’s latest product release, which it calls “Next Fan Up,” gives sports and music fans access to tools used by venues, organizations, and licensed sellers alike.
The feature gives you three selling options to choose from—sell faster at a lower price, sell slower at a higher price or sell at a more balanced pace and rate.
However, SeatGeek will still recommend the best price in a separate box below.
Regardless, resellers are nowhere near as bad as sleazy scalpers who drastically overprice tickets for desperate fans to cough up their hard-earned cash.
Now fans can quickly list, price and sell their tickets for another fan to enjoy.”
GitHub today announced the general availability of Copilot Enterprise, the $39/month version of its code completion tool and developer-centric chatbot for large businesses.
Many teams already keep their documentation in GitHub repositories today, making it relatively easy for Copilot to reason over it.
On top of talking about today’s release, I also asked Dohmke about his high-level thinking of where Copilot is going next.
“Different use cases require different models.
We will continue going down that path of using the best models for the different pieces of the Copilot experience,” Dohmke said.
The new update has a scan feature, which lets users scan a physical document and import the text to listen to it later.
The company is introducing a feature to let users read their emails by integrating their Gmail accounts.
The app can also help users import their PDF attachments into the Speechify app.
For instance, read later app Pocket, which is owned by Mozilla, has an in-app text-to-speech feature.
Speechify wants to stand out in this market and wants to become a one-stop shop for anyone thinking about reading experiences by offering all kinds of integrations.
Email startup Superhuman is launching an AI-powered instant replies feature today with the company looking to double down in AI-fueled functionality this year.
Instant replies are one more feature to quickly get emails out of your way.
You can think of Instant replies as equivalent to Gmail’s smart replies, but Superhuman said its feature is more contextual and personal.
The company said that users who were part of the beta test of instant replies are sending emails twice as fast.
Last year, it launched Superhuman AI, which helps users draft better emails with options to change the length or tone.
Instagram is developing an opt-in “Friend Map” feature that would allow users to see their friends’ locations in real time, a Meta spokesperson confirmed to TechCrunch on Monday.
Instagram would also be coming for Apple and its “Find My” map feature that lets users see where their friends and family are currently located.
According to screenshots posted on Threads by Paluzzi, Instagram’s Friend Map would allow users to choose who can see their location.
Post by @alex193a View on ThreadsThe Friend Map would allow users to leave short messages, or “Notes,” on the map for others to see.
