Meta said Thursday that it has started to test two “most requested” features: drafts and in-app camera.
You can write the post you might want to post later in the composer, and just swipe down to save the draft.
The Threads app also shows a different composer icon in the bottom bar when there is a saved draft that you haven’t posted yet.
Along with the new drafts feature, Mark Zuckerberg posted a photo through the new camera shortcut that opens in the composer.
This shortcut makes it easier if you want to quickly post a photo to Threads.
The new rules prevent “anti-steering” practices, whereby the platform owner — in this case Apple — prevents app developers from informing their users about alternative payment or subscription options.
And the DMA also has provisions for preventing gatekeepers from requiring developers to use their own payment services.
“For years, even in our own app, Apple had these rules where we couldn’t tell you about offers, how much something costs, or even where or how to buy it.
The DMA means that we’ll finally be able to share details about deals, promotions, and better-value payment options in the EU,” Spotify said in a blog post.
One where you can see all subscription pricing, promotions or deals, and even make purchases, all seamlessly within the app.
Apple this week updated its App Store rules to comply with a court order after the Supreme Court declined to hear the Epic Games-initiated antitrust case against Apple over commissions.
This seems to skirt the court’s decision requiring Apple to remove the “anti-steering” clause from its agreement with App Store developers.
But in its place is a complicated process that requires app developers to apply for permission to include their desired link or button, via something dubbed the StoreKit External Purchase Link Entitlement.
Apple has used entitlements to set up exceptions to its App Store rules — for example, last year when it allowed “reader” apps (apps that provide access to digital content, like audio, music, video, book, and more) to point to an external website where customers could manage their accounts with the app developers.
In the case of the new U.S.-based Link Entitlement, Apple is again demanding to first vet which applications can include external links and control how they’ve been implemented.
WhatsApp announced today that it’s launching a new feature on iOS that lets users create, edit and share their own stickers.
You can personalize stickers using WhatsApp’s suite of editing tools, including text, drawing and the ability to overlay other stickers.
Once you send a custom sticker, it will automatically be saved in your sticker tray so you can use it again whenever you would like to.
If you want to edit an existing sticker, you need to open the sticker tray and long press the sticker you want to edit.
WhatsApp says the new sticker maker, which is already available on WhatsApp web, is rolling out on iOS 17+ over the coming days.
Clear offers a specific vision for how to-do lists should work and, as an indie app, it doesn’t have to deliver increasing returns on investment or answer to investors.
“It feels a little punk compared with the average app on the App Store,” notes Ryu about Clear’s lack of subscriptions.
But for most of that time, the app was just being updated on TestFlight, not on the public App Store.
The original team had kind of “burned out” on Clear, Ryu explains, after being overloaded with projects like porting Clear to Mac or adding iCloud Sync.
You can also drag and drop items between lists, swipe to schedule reminders, screenshot to share lists, and swipe to archive lists.

Netflix has developed more than 75 mobile games, boasting popular IPs like Grand Theft Auto, Love is Blind, Monument Valley, and Oxenfree, among many others.
Now, Netflix could potentially be exploring ways to generate revenue from its gaming business, a recent report suggests.
These methods are common (and effective) in the mobile gaming world, with consumers expected to spend $111.4 billion on mobile games in 2024.
Netflix appeared to shut down the idea of ads and in-game payments during an earnings call in April 2023.
