As a writer, I can’t help but be drawn to the futuristic potential of mixed reality and generative AI. However, it wasn’t until I watched a Christmas Day TV special that I truly became bullish about their impact. As fellow TechCrunch writer Anna puts it:

“I would be lying if I said that mixed reality and generative AI were two of my favorite things. And yet, a Christmas Day TV special made me unexpectedly bullish about them.”

The special in question was Versailles 400, a groundbreaking mixed-reality experience that brought the famous French palace to life in a whole new way. As someone who isn’t an early adopter of the metaverse – currently owning only a cardboard VR headset – I have yet to fully experience the potential of this technology. But as we look towards 2024, I am excited for the transformative and inclusive mixed-reality experiences that will cater to people like me.

With new developments and advancements in mixed reality and AI, the possibilities are endless and the future looks bright.
