TikTok’s auto scroll has been highly requested among users, with many searching for hacks online to make their daily TikTok viewing experience more efficient.

TikTok has been playing around with a new feature for several months now – an automatic scrolling mechanism that allows for hands-free viewing.

To use the auto scroll feature, simply press and hold a video on the For You page, similar to how you would repost a video. Then click the auto scroll button and sit back as your feed effortlessly swipes through videos without any input from you. If you come across a photo post, the scrolling will pause until you swipe through all of the photos.

To turn off the feature, just hold down on your phone screen again and select “Manual scroll.”

Although still in the testing phase, the auto scroll feature is currently only available for select TikTok users. It has been a highly requested addition among users, with many taking to the internet to find hacks to make their daily TikTok viewing experience more efficient. For example, iPhone users can go into their settings, activate Voice Control, and create a voice command to swipe up on the screen whenever they say a specific phrase.

Interestingly, this new capability closely follows in the footsteps of YouTube, which introduced an autoplay feature back in 2014.
