LinkedIn quietly started to post information describing its new Premium Company Page six days ago. Pricing for premium company pages is not immediately disclosed, but it appears admins of pages that are eligible for it can see it. The Premium Company Page subscription in some ways will look very familiar, in that it taps into well-known LinkedIn mechanics. Testimonials, which LinkedIn has really promoted as a feature on profile pages for individuals, also get a push here: admins can display these prominently at the top of their premium pages. Last but not least, with LinkedIn big on verification lately, and here too a Page can get a golden badge with a premium subscription.

New AI Assistant from Brave Coming to iPhone and iPad

Brave announced on Wednesday that it’s bringing its AI assistant, called Leo, to iPhone and iPad users. The iOS launch of Leo brings voice-to-text capability, which isn’t available in the Android version of the AI assistant. By giving access to a built-in AI assistant, Brave is hoping users won’t turn to ChatGPT or other similar services. Brave isn’t the only browser company to launch an AI assistant; Opera launched an AI assistant called Aria last year. To access Leo, open the browser, start typing in the address bar and then select “Ask Leo.” Leo is an opt-in feature and can be disabled via the app’s settings.

Spotify is enhancing its audiobooks streaming service with a feature that may be familiar to the app’s music consumers: Countdown Pages. For audiobooks, the Countdown Pages will allow Spotify’s users to pre-save books ahead of their release. With the addition of the new Countdown Pages feature, Spotify hopes to grow the service’s adoption further by tapping into its larger global user base of over 600 million listeners. Otherwise, Spotify’s free users can now opt into a standalone audiobooks subscription for $9.99 per month, which debuted earlier this month. Countdown pages for audiobooks will launch in all markets where Spotify’s audiobooks are available, including the U.S., U.K. Australia, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand.

If you’re not seeing Brave Leo for Android yet, that’s because it will be rolled out in phases over the next few days. Brave isn’t the only browser company to recently launch an AI assistant, as Opera launched an AI assistant called Aria last year.

YouTube is changing the design for creators’ channels on the big screen, the comapny announced today. The update is rolling out to all creators today, but may take a few weeks to appear to all viewers, the comapny told TechCrunch. The changes impact the channel pages on TV only, it noted. Creators will likely respond positively to changes that help boost their subscriber numbers and better showcase their content on the big screen. The company is in competition with traditional TV and streamers like Netflix on TVs, but also with newcomers like TikTok, which launched its own TV app in late 2021.
