With deck.blue, Bluesky users can view posts on the social network in the column-based format popularized by TweetDeck, including things like their home timeline, notifications, likes, lists, or even custom feeds.
But when he examined the options available to Bluesky users, he was dissatisfied with the experiences that had been built so far.
The deck.blue project began last August and within a month of writing the first line of code, it launched.
Initially, the app was called Bluesky Deck, but Bluesky suggested that using Bluesky in the app’s name wasn’t the right move.
So Filho renamed the app deck.blue and hired a designer to work on the branding.
Opera revealed today that it will launch a new AI-powered browser built on its own engine for iOS in Europe.
The changes will allow developers to offer browsers that are not based on the WebKit browser engine.
Opera says the changes will allow it to provide iPhone users with an AI-powered alternative to Safari.
Last year, Opera introduced its “Aria” browser AI and redesigned its flagship desktop browser and called it Opera One, which will also be the name of the new iOS browser.
At the time, Opera said the new browser has elements that will make it ready for a “generative AI-based future.”
Among the changes in iOS 17.4 is support for auto-generated transcripts in the Apple Podcasts app, making it easier for listeners to follow along to their favorite shows.
Similar to how lyrics work in Apple Music, users can view a live text version of an episode, and the words are highlighted as they listen.
To pull up the transcript, users click on the new “quote” icon at the bottom of the Now Playing screen.
Creators can also release their own transcripts by changing the setting in Apple Podcasts Connect within the Availability tab.
Earlier this week, Apple made iOS 17.3 widely available, giving users access to its Stolen Device Protection feature and collaborative playlists for Apple Music.
Now, when you search terms like “taylor swift ai” or “taylor swift deepfake” on X, you’ll find thousands of posts from fans trying to bury the AI-generated content.
This abuse has even seeped into schools, where underage girls have been targeted by their classmates with explicit, nonconsensual deepfakes.
So, for some Taylor Swift fans, this isn’t just a matter of protecting the star.
taylor swift fans are genuinely amazing.

Google announced today that it’s rolling out a few new features for Pixel users.
Most notably, the tech giant announced that Pixel 8 Pro users will be able to use the phone’s Thermometer app to take their temperature, or someone else’s, with a forehead scan.
When Google first announced the Thermometer app, the tech giant said you could use it to take the temperature of things like your baby’s milk bottle or your coffee.
Now, the company says users can use the app to scan their own body temperature.
Google also announced that it’s launching “Circle to Search, a feature that it unveiled last week, to Pixel 8 and 8 Pro users.
Meta announced today that it is rolling out new DM restrictions on both Facebook and Instagram for teens that prevent anyone from messaging teens.
What’s more, Meta is also making its parental controls more robust by allowing guardians to allow or deny changes in default privacy settings made by teens.
Previously, when teens changed these settings, guardians got a notification, but they couldn’t take any action on them.
Meta first rolled out parental supervision tools for Instagram in 2022, which gave guardians a sense of their teens’ usage.
Meta didn’t specify what work it is doing to ensure the privacy of teens while executing these features.
