In an effort to keep live shopping relevant, Amazon has recently launched the “Amazon Live” FAST channel on Prime Video and Freevee. This new channel, previously only available on desktop, mobile, and Fire TV, aims to provide more opportunities for U.S. customers to engage with interactive and shoppable content.
The 24/7 programming on Amazon Live’s FAST channel will feature popular creators and celebrities such as Lala Kent (from “Vanderpump Rules”) and Paige DeSorbo (from “Southern Charm”). DeSorbo will also be launching her own original show on Amazon Live, where she will develop new and exciting content. Other well-known brands like Tastemade and The Bump will also host streams to showcase and sell their products.
Viewers can easily browse and purchase the items that influencers showcase by using the Amazon Shopping app on their mobile device. By simply entering “shop the show” into the search bar, users will be directed to a shopping carousel featuring all the products seen on TV in real-time.
Launched in 2019, Amazon Live was created as a shopping experience similar to QVC, with the goal of helping brands get their products discovered and allowing talent to interact with their fans. According to the company, in 2023 alone, over 1 billion customers in the U.S. and India streamed Amazon Live’s shoppable videos.
